Industrial Grade Solid-State Memory Cards for Industrial Applications

Sponsored Links

PSI distributes all kind of industrial-grade PCMCIA cards, readers, flash drives and other storage & I/O solutions for industrial PCs,  embedded computing needs as well as for industrial applications.

The following table gives  the compatibility matrix of the solid-state memory cards and the known industrial devices. PSI supplies both commercial-grade and industrial-grade ruggedized cards with commercial and extended operating temperature options.

Why do you need industrial-grade memory cards instead of their cheaper consumer-grade counterparts?

Industrial-grade cards are made to sustain severe operating conditions such as high impact, continuous vibration, low  and/or high operating temperature. These cards are durable and can last intensive reads/writes. Certain cards are even made to be moisture-resistant. Consumer-grade memory cards are not as durable. For most of the industrial applications which normally require intensive I/O cycles, the consumer-grade cards tend to fail prematurely.
