Why do you need industrial-grade memory cards instead of their cheaper consumer-grade counterparts?

Industrial-grade cards are made to endure severe operating conditions such as high impact, continuous vibration, low  and/or high operating temperature. These cards are durable and can last intensive reads/writes. Certain cards are even made to be moisture-resistant. Although we also supply consumer-grade CF cards, they are not as durable. For most of the industrial applications which normally require intensive I/O cycles, the consumer-grade cards tend to fail prematurely. 
We only offer flash storage products that are High shock & vibration-resistant and meet military MIL-STD 810F standards.

The following Industrial Grade Rugged Metal CompactFlash Cards, from 16MB up to 16GB (uses 3S controller, 150x speed) or SMI controller, 300x speed), are RoHS-compliant. They are built with the high-end ATA Flash controller and mainly  Samsung Industrial-Grade SLC NAND Type Flash memory chips.  The inside of these CF cards can have an optional coating of MIL-I -46058C conforming silicone, which is designed to endure against static electricity, moisture, dust and atmospheric contaminants. Note: 
1. Most of the parts listed below are made-to-order only and there is a 2 -3 weeks lead time. If you need the drives urgently and are willing to pay extra shipping costs, we may be able to arrange a drop ship from our manufacturer to you directly.  
2. Orders are non-returnable and non-exchangeable so make sure you have the right part and/or pre-approve the samples before quantity ordering. Defective cards are covered under warranty.
3. Both the original Titans series industrial CF cards (16MB ~ 4GB) and the latest and fastest Hermit Series CF cards (128MB ~ 16GB)  are offered. 
4. Not all IDE sockets can support UDMA mode. Titans series cards are  pre-programmed either in UDMA or PIO mode and as a removable disk or a "fixed disk". Please specify in your order. 
5. Hermit Series CF cards feature auto detection for PIO & UDMA + auto detection of Fixed Disk and Removable Disk modes. This makes it easier for you to choose.
6. Optional plastic casing WP-series version industrial CF cards are available upon request. Prices are $4. cheaper than the WR-series counterparts below.
7. More economical commercial-temperature (0 ~ 70 deg C) CF cards are also available upon request.

C-1 Technology High-Capacity Industrial Grade Compact Flash Cards:  - Tiger Series

Note: For the mode operation, C1' s CF card starts with the default of UDMA mode. If the system can only support PIO-mode, card will automatically switch to PIO-mode. If the system can support both and prefer to run PIO-mode, we have to make the change on default to PIO-mode at the factory.
